Description
The lowest liquid temperature at which a test flame cause the vapors to ignite. This test method is appropriate for petroleum products with a flash point range of 175F to 752F. These values are applicable for contamination detection and shipping and safety regulations. Flash point can indicate the possible presence of highly volatile or flammable materials in non-volatile or flammable materials. This is a good method to use for turbine oils and other products of higher flash point.
